is the space wheelchair accessible?

The facility, tent and washrooms are wheelchair accessible. The ceremony sites are grassed, however, the path leading to the Poplar Forest is brick.

are the ceremony sites extra?

The open-air ceremony sites - Poplar Forest & Kinloch Prairies - are included in your facility rental.  This includes the set-up and removal of benches and the PA system.
A beach ceremony off Warner Rd. is an additional $700 which includes the set-up and removal of a ceremony platform and benches.

what is kinloch grove’s deposit schedule?

The initial payment to secure your date is made on the day of booking and signing the contract. The remaining balance is split into two to three payments; 12 months, 6 months, and the final payment due at rehearsal.  We require a valid credit card on file prior to your wedding and reserve the right to authorize the card for the remaining balance as early as 24 hours before your event.

will kinloch grove provide sound for our ceremony?

Yes, included in your rental is the use of our basic sound system which includes a speaker, a microphone, and a stand.

will kinloch grove provide sound for our reception?

Kinloch Grove has many preferred DJs that offer a variety of packages to fit your sound needs that you may book outside of our wedding contract. We do not provide or include reception sound equipment in our rental. We also accept the hiring of live bands.

Who provides the food?

We allow our couples to book any licenced catering company they desire. Caterers must be prepared to provide all food precooked as there is no kitchen on site. Storage is limited, and we are unable to store any food in advance.

where are the washrooms located?

Our washroom facilities are located on-site less than 20 feet away from the tent entrance. The three facilities - men’s, ladies’, and family with wheelchair access - are fully plumbed with plenty of space and lighting.

what is Kinloch grove’s capacity?

Our tent capacity for weddings is 150 guests.

when can we drop off decorations?

The facility is accessible at 10 am the day of your event, and all décor must be removed from the premises by 2 am that evening.  Any arrangements outside of these hours may be subject to additional fees.

can we throw rice or plastic confetti at our ceremony?

We do not allow the above to be thrown outside or used inside the tent. Only organic materials like leaves and petals may be used.

can our florist bring flowers the day before?

We, unfortunately, do not have the storage capacity to hold your flowers in advance.

can we decorate with candles?

Pillar candles must be contained in a hurricane vase. No open flames, or tapered candles, and during inclement weather, we will not allow candles to be lit. Flameless candles are strongly encouraged.

can we set off fireworks?

We do not allow fireworks displays on site. We must also authorize the use of sparklers prior to your event.

how many people fit at your tables?

We have 8ft long X-base banquet-style tables that are hand-built. They fit 8 people comfortably.

does Kinloch grove have a space for the wedding party to be prior to the wedding?

Yes! We have built a lounge room adjacent to the facilities on site for your wedding party to get ready. We call this room the Wedding Chalet which is equipped with a sofa, mini-fridge and microwave, a make-up station, a private washroom, and a dressing room. The room may be locked throughout the evening.

where do our guests park?

At the end of the entrance road, we have a 100-stall gravel parking lot. We have close parking for wheelchair accessibility. There is plenty of room for transit and catering vans to access the site as well.

what happens if it rains?

The ceremony may be conducted inside our clear tent, which has billowy ceiling drapery and plenty of space for all your guests. The tent is secured to an elevated concrete pad so no water will be inside.

what about mosquitos?

We do our best to keep them at bay by fogging prior to each event, and using other preventative methods.

can we have a fire?

We have a fireplace onsite that we will keep stocked and stoked for you and your guests all night long, as long as there is no fire ban. 

Where can we stay?

If you and your guests want to enjoy the weekend in the Interlake, we suggest booking the weekend from some of the many rental cabins in and around Matlock. Otherwise, Kinloch Grove is located 20 minutes from both Selkirk and Gimli where there are plenty of options to choose from.
