Our Story

Kinloch Grove is the Interlake’s newest outdoor event centre, in manitoba. Set within a beautiful and diverse prairie landscape just a short walk from Lake Winnipeg. Surrounded by open skies, native grasses, and natural beauty. It’s a place designed to feel calm, welcoming, and effortlessly memorable, making it the perfect backdrop for celebrating life’s most meaningful moments.

Meet Allie!

Welcome! I'm so glad you’re here. As the owner and site manager of Kinloch Grove, I’m deeply involved in every celebration that takes place here.

With a background that includes a BA in Global Political Economy, a diploma in Residential Decorating, and proficiency in Apparel Design, I bring both creativity and organization to every event.

Inspired by travel, childhood memories, and endless daydreams, I've carefully curated you wedding team, and work closely with your vendors to ensure each celebration reflects your vision while showcasing the very best of Kinloch Grove.

Our Roots in the Interlake

My family and I have been fortunate to enjoy our 76 acres of prairie paradise for over two decades. We’ve explored everything the Interlake has to offer — from the sandy beaches, boardwalks, and boreal forests to Icelandic festivals, the WAVE artist tour, and the Gimli Film Festival.

Having a cabin in Matlock gave us the best of both worlds; the quiet seclusion of country living paired with the sense of community and amenities found in nearbyvGimli, Winnipeg Beach, and Selkirk. This place has always been focused on connection, creativity, and reflection for us.

The Beginning of Kinloch Grove

On my birthday in February 2018, I became engaged to my husband, Carlo, and as we began planning our wedding, there was nowhere I wanted to celebrate more than at our cabin. While exploring venue options in the surrounding area, we quickly realized there were very few spaces that offered the balance of natural beauty, flexibility, and essential amenities we were looking for.

That realization sparked the idea for Kinloch Grove — an outdoor event centre rooted in nature and designed with intention. As we reimagined what our cabin could become, we chose the name Kinloch to honour family connections to the Kinloch Hotel on the Isle of Mull, in Scotland. Meaning family and lake, the name reflects what matters most to us and the heart of Kinloch Grove; connection, tradition, and gathering together in meaningful ways at the lake.

Since the spring of 2018, We’ve been working alongside my father to thoughtfully and meticulously build Kinloch Grove into the event centre it is today.

Every detail has been carefully considered with the goal of creating a space that can host life’s most meaningful celebrations. To now offer Kinloch Grove as a space where others can celebrate their own love stories and milestones is truly a dream come true.
